The Seville Chamber of Commerce Foundation through La Fábrica de Sevilla and the University of Seville have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and innovation among students at the University of Seville.
The agreement, signed by the Vice Rector of Knowledge Transfer of the University of Seville and the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Seville, has as its main objective to channel the entrepreneurship programs developed by the Chamber of Commerce of Seville to the student community of the University of Seville, giving them the opportunity to explore and develop their entrepreneurial skills.
Within the framework of this alliance, the University of Seville joins the initiative of La Fábrica de Sevilla to promote technological, innovative and global entrepreneurship. This will be carried out through a series of joint activities that include encouraging innovation and technology entrepreneurship in Seville, highlighting and disseminating successful examples of entrepreneurship, strengthening the StartUp ecosystem, and promoting the importance of entrepreneurship in society.
As part of this agreement, the University of Seville through the Secretariat of Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship and the Social Council of the US has proposed a challenge within the program The BIG Idea, aimed at high school students, Secondary Education of Seville and FP.
This challenge has been associated with the “Talent Capture Award” belonging to the XIX edition of the US Ideas Competition, which seeks innovative solutions related to sustainable development and environmental sustainability in the university context, offering participants the opportunity to turn their ideas into concrete projects with real impact. Therefore, the participants of The BIG Idea who accept the challenge of the US and propose a solution will be valued to become finalists and opt for this award.
In addition, La Fábrica de Sevilla is actively participating in the 19th edition of the US Ideas Competition, providing valuable actions during and after the competition, including recognition and mentoring programs for the finalist projects, as well as the creation of a joint award with the Chamber of Commerce of Seville for the initiative with the greatest innovative impact.
