FUTURE ENTREPRENEURS AND THE QUARRY OF ANDALUSIAN TECHNOLOGY STARTUPS START THE TALENT PRO 23’24 PROGRAMME, ORGANISED BY THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND THE CITY COUNCIL.
350 YOUNG TALENTS FROM SEVILLE COMPLEMENT THEIR UNIVERSITY EDUCATION WITH A SPECIFIC PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME BASED ON INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP.
These young people have an average baccalaureate grade of 9.38 and an average university entrance exam grade of 12.80. 55% are women and 87% study in public universities. They are proposed by the educational centres at the end of the baccalaureate from an annual admission process that the Chamber of Commerce of Seville deploys through La Fábrica de Sevilla. The event was attended by the young students accompanied by their families and school representatives.
An event full of emotion and motivation for these young people in which the current Delegate of Economy, Álvaro Pimentel emphasised the importance of the professional development of these students who in a few years will be the ones leading companies and startups in the city, with a clear invitation to deploy their skills in initiatives for the city of Seville that facilitate the positioning of the city in the elite of European cities that are committed to retaining talent and developing companies that operate in the world.
The director of the programme, Ramón Bullón, marketing director of the Chamber of Commerce of Seville, presented this year’s programme with activities in the field of digital skills, new technologies, entrepreneurship and global vision, awareness and talent management, marketing, sustainability, etc. The young people combine their training in the university faculties of Seville during these four years with the development of this programme, enhancing their employability and future professional development. It is also part of a professional talent presentation programme for the 300 companies of the Seville Chamber Club and the technology startups that are deployed in our city. In this edition, 150 new talents are joining the programme.
This is a programme that is 100% subsidised by the Chamber of Commerce Foundation of Seville, with the participation of the Seville City Council and Seville companies of international renown through La Fábrica de Sevilla.
The main objective of the programme is to promote the talent of these young people from a real vision of the job market, introducing them to the professional world from the first year of their studies, and favouring the generation of a transversal knowledge profile that goes beyond the linearity of university training processes to approach the demanding reality that companies need today in order to be competitive.
In the end, these junior professionals will receive the necessary tools to enhance their talent and boost their future employability in order to contribute to the economic and social development of Seville and Andalusia.
The young people attending, their families and the representatives of the educational centres valued the initiative as a unique opportunity for these young people and as an opportunity for the young people.
