Creation of ‘La Fábrica de Sevilla’, a public-private initiative to boost the technological startup network and global ambition in the city of Seville. This project comes from the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Navigation of Seville, the Seville City Council and Sevilla Futura.
This is the first embryo with an office for local entrepreneurs and startups in the Marqués de Contadero offices, but with the aim of occupying other municipal spaces as the project consolidates. La Fábrica de Sevilla’ has five pillars. The first is the configuration of a specific working team focused on supporting technology-based startups in Seville and attracting entrepreneurs and professionals who can move to the city. The second is the development of a programme of activities, meetings, working sessions and events focused on the promotion of startups and entrepreneurship. The third is the consolidation of a public-private reference centre for startups in Seville and for those who want to develop projects, which will initially be located in the Marqués de Contadero office. Fourth, the application of the results to the improvement of public services through CEMS. And finally, the configuration of alliances with companies and universities to generate synergies.
The methodology has been developed by the entrepreneurs involved in this initiative and is based on the early identification and development of people with the right skills to lead or work in this type of company; of ideas likely to be the seed of technological startups with global ambition; and of active companies with the capacity to multiply their performance exponentially with their internationalisation.
